BTS Reveal They're Performing On 'Dick Clark's New Year's Rockin' Eve 2018'

This yearn has been filled with successes for Korean act BTS, and it looks like they’ll be kicking off 2018 in a big way with a performance at the most iconic New Year’s Eve party. Earlier today (December 12), the group tweeted that they’ll be appearing on ABC’s Dick Clark’s New Year’s Rockin’ Eve 2018 with Ryan Seacrest.

BTS will become the first Korean group to perform on the iconic television event following their immense accomplishments on the Billboard charts, including a Top 40 single and being recognized yesterday as one of the top 10 acts on the year-end Artist chart. They're only the second Korean act to ever appear on the Dick Clark event, following PSY’s performance at the 2013 broadcast.

"We're honored to celebrate this amazing year and ring in 2018 by performing,” the group’s official Twitter account tweeted Tuesday morning.

As early as November 21, South Korean media reported on the upcoming performance, alleging that the septet had already recorded for the New Year’s Rockin’ Eve 2018 performance.

Along with BTS, the New Year’s Eve broadcast will feature performances from artists including Camila Cabello, Nick Jonas, Kelly Clarkson, Shawn Mendes, Charlie Puth, Khalid, Marshmello and Sugarland. Ryan Seacrest and Jenny McCarthy will host from Times Square and Ciara will host in Hollywood.

This year’s Dick Clark's New Year's Rockin’ Eve 2018 with Ryan Seacrest begins on December 31 at 8 PM ET on ABC.
