It looks like the #TimesUp movement didn’t move Disney to close the wage gap between Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson and Emily Blunt for their movie “Jungle Cruise.”
Johnson who plays the lead male character, Frank is set to get $22 million while Blunt, who is playing the lead female, Lily only got $9 million for the role.
Both actors have extensive resumes with Blunt starring in the new Mary Poppins movie, the Golden Globe winner also starred in The Devil Wears Prada, A Quiet Place, and Sicario.
Johnson is the highest paid actor behind Daniel Craig, who starred in the Fast and Furious and Moana.
Recently Mark Wahlberg was paid $1.5 million for reshoots of “All The Money in the World”, while co-star Michelle Williams did them for free.
After mounting pressure, Wahlberg donated the money he received.
