Looks like Netflix is on to us.
The streaming company announced that they will more than likely start to crack down on users piggybacking off friendsâ and familyâs accounts in the near future.
During a quarterly earnings call this week, Netflix revealed that they would crack down on password sharing.
âWe continue to monitor [password sharing],â Peters says. âWeâll continue to look at the situation and weâll see those consumer-friendly ways to push on the edge of that, but weâve got no big plans at this point in time in terms of doing something different there.â
So no official plans as of yet to completely stop password sharing, but they are fully aware and looking into ways curb the piggybacking.
