The hit 2007 romantic comedy âP.S. I Love Youâ featuring Hilary Swank is finally getting a sequel!
Variety reported on Tuesday that the highly anticipated follow-up novel, written by author Cecelia Ahern, is titled âPostscript,â and is set to be adapted into a sequel. Both Alcon Entertainment and Black Label Media will co-produce and co-finance the motion picture.
Alcon Entertainment also produced the movie based on Ahernâs book âP.S. I Love You,"Â which originally starred Swank as the widow Holly Kennedy. âP.S. I Love Youâ was released back in 2007 and was an immediate success at the box offices, taking home $53 million on $156 million worldwide.
âPostscriptâ is set to pick up Hollyâs story seven years after her husbandâs death, when Hollyâs sister asks her to tell the story of âP.S. I Love Youâ letters on her podcast.
The original film stars: Gerard Butler, Lisa Kudrow, Kathy Bates, Gina Gershon, Harry Connick Jr., and Jeffrey Dean Morgan alongside Hilary Swank.Â
The film's expected release date has not yet been announced.Â
