Usually, our pets of the week from the Lycoming County SPCA are a cat and a dog. This week, I'm HOPPING with joy over a Bunny of the Week! Before I ever had a dog or cat, I had a bunny that looks a lot like our Bunny of the Week and he was just a sweet, sassy boy.
Bunny of the Week: Dale
11-month-old, black male American Rabbit
Dale arrived at the shelter in late September. His owner felt that she had too many animals to take care of adequately, so she brought Dale and a guinea pig, Lamar, in.
Dale is still quite a young rabbit, and boy is he fun to watch. He zooms and zips around his pen, and particularly enjoys playing peek-a-boo with his towel. He keeps the ladies in the lobby laughing.
He has a beautiful, soft, black coat and adorable soft, strokable ears. His little feet and bunny nose are simply too cute, as well. Dale is eager to feel the love and care of a home and family again. He can't wait to bring his zippy, sweet personality into someone's life and shower them with joy.
If you're looking for a handsome, sweet gentleman, look no farther than Dale. He's ready and waiting for a cuddle and a treat in the Lobby.
Dog of the Week: Rosita
7-year-old, female boxer/mix
Rosita arrived at the SPCA in early July as a stray. Her original owners were contacted, but they chose to surrender her. We don't understand why - as you can see in her photos, she's a happy and sweet gal!
Even though she is seven years old, she is full of fun and energy! She loves to run around outside and go on walks. Because of her tendency to chase small animals, we recommend a house with no cats. She could live with another dog, but we recommend she meets them first.
If you're looking for a lovingly loyal girl, Rosita is your lady. She's ready for walks and pets in pen 71.
