Selena Gomez has been off the grid for a minute, her last album actually came out in 2015. But, last night she FINALLY released new music. The song is, "Lose You To Love Me" and this song is literally making people cry.
Sel said, "This song was inspired by many things that have happened in my life since releasing my last album. I thought it was important to share the music, as I know many can relate to the fact that the road to self-discovery generally comes through the scars in one's life. I want people to feel hope and to know you will come out the other side stronger and a better version of yourself."
To me this song is so raw, vulnerable, and shows so much strength. If this is what Selena needed to do to close that door and that chapter, what a beautiful thing.
I also think the reason why this song is resonating so hard with people because everyone has been in this place before, losing someone to find yourself. I've gotten out of a relationship before where I couldn't even remember what I liked to do for fun anymore, I literally had to re-discover myself.
