Lycoming County SCPA Pet of the Week (6/19/17)

We're changing things up this week! Instead of a dog, we have BUNNIES of the week!

Meet Flopsy and Mopsy! Flopsy and Mopsy have quite the story. They were "rescued" at a livestock auction in April in central PA so they could be placed at the SPCA to find their forever homes.

They lived in a teeny, soiled pen, stacked 10-deep along with chickens, ducks and many other bunnies. Since their arrival at the shelter, Flopsy and Mopsy have slowly been coming out of their shells and enjoying the new space, freedom, and food. The two of them are oh so soft, and Flopsy, in particular, has beautiful flecked markings. Flopsy and Mopsy can't wait to find out what a real forever home looks like.

Could you be the forever person they're looking for? They’re ready and waiting for nibbles and treats in the Lobby.

Meet Tumbler, our Cat of the Week! Tumbler, with his muted, stylish coat and soulful, yellow eyes, will steal your heart in a minute. This fascinating gentleman is looking for his forever love and he hopes it will be you.

In fact, you see, his heart is breaking. His previous forever love jilted him when she moved and left him behind. No notes or explanations. Just gone. Her landlord brought Tumbler and his brother in. Since that fateful day, sweet Tumbler has been brave, hoping against hope that someone will come and bring him a loving home once again.

He's a little nervous that his "FIV-positive" status will throw potential families off. However, FIV is no big deal. It stands for Feline Immunodeficiency Virus. FIV is hard for other cats to catch and cats with FIV can live long, full lives.

Could you be the lucky one to take this charming fellow home? He is ready for love and attention in pen 2 in the cat room.
