On June 3, Los Angeles City Councilman Joe Buscaino introduced a motion to ban homeless encampments within 500 feet of all city libraries.
This ban must first be approved by the City Council before it can go into effect. There is already a city anti-camping law that prohibits sitting, lying, sleeping or storing personal property within 500 feet of a school or daycare. Click here for more.
